Wesley Bishop

Had no idea what to do after h.s. So transferred seven times as a college undergrad. Got my degree (finally) from Southern Oregon Univ. Managed to convince 5 Marylanders to come to Oregon for school. Went to Catholic Univ and got my MFA. Became a professional actor. Gave it up when I had kids and became a writer. Miracle of miracles I made a living at it. Sweated through eleven years in LA then moved to Oregon. Ashland is home to the Tony award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival. If you come this way, we'll put you up.

As I related to Diane McChesney, I remember the two of us getting into a huge shouting match right after Eisenhower won the election. We were obviously on separate sides and doubtless still are (plse don't tell anyone in LA. I'll never work again). I thought when Diane was screaming at me "Gee, she sure is pretty." She still is!

And I remember on the last day of school playing kick ball, I managed to break a window. A major highlight.

Oh, and I think it was in Miss Shane's class that she got angry with us and locked us all in some kind of closet. Very intense at the time but exciting.

Miss Shane, Miss Keller...I transferred into Rosemary in 4th grade I believe....I "think" I had Mrs. Newman.

My father grew up in Chevy Chase. In fact, he lived in same house on Oakridge Ave that we did when we moved to Chevy Chase when I was in 4th grade. My father also went to Leland and BCC.

After Rosemary I attended Leland Jr. High.

Went to BCC for 10th and 11th grade then attended a small religious school my senior year--Canyonville Christian Academy

We lived at 7303 Oakridge Ave which was directly across the street from Leland. Buddy Wood lived around the corner.
